Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style that combines R&B with gospel, soul music, and R&B. Sunshine has performed everywhere from Broadway to The Democratic National Convention to the European scene of clubs and festivals. Sunshine is a name that she has given her was Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta her birthplace was Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical journey began in the church, where she sang as well as was a pianist. She attended Spellman College and began to master the R&B style that is popular in Atlanta. The Fighting Temptations The first single with her vocals was Stalk You which was a house 12-inch released only in Japan and has been remixed since by a variety of producers and has become a staple of her live sets. She also contributed to The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. In 2005, she was the keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her vocals and her music, invited Sunshine to sing in the Dreamgirls production during Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine rose to prominence during the four daily performances in The 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine sang during Barack Obama's Inauguration in 2009.
